The Language My Mother Speaks 2019
The Language My Mother Speaks, was a collaboration between Samantha Bews (theatre artist), Denise Martin (video artist), Tim Preston (lighting design) and Neil Harrison (special effects). The project explored consciousness and connection in a person living with advanced dementia. Exploring a multi-dimensional and interconnected reality, the artists transformed the many spaces within The Phee Broadway Theatre, Castlemaine into rooms of consciousness – an installation ‘mansion’ within which the audience is invited to roam.
